Hi everyone, I'm a bit confused with one of the questions. It is:
Describe the examples of cultural diversity displayed/used within the environment. Outside.
Any help will be very appreciated.
Thanx
Miss Lozzy

Cultural Diversity consists of items that are displayed in the childcare setting.
Sorry, I don't have any ideas for outdoor settings. Maybe build a mini chinese bridge.
You can have:
A poster displaying different flags of the countries of the children's cultural background.
A poster displaying "welcome" words translated in different languages.
Toys such as Russian Babushka Dolls can be used for children to play with.
Aboriginal Art such as the boomerang, Aboriginal Flag, Didgeridoo, kangaroo displayed in the room.
You can have a multicultural corner displaying children national costumes.
Provide meals from different cultures in the centre's food menu
Have chinese lanterns, Indian Dream Catchers, hanging in the room.
Dress up corner, provide children with different cultural costumes to dress up with.
Chinese New Year Display of chopsticks, pictures of traditional costumes, chinese words on a poster, chinese tea pots etc. Set it up in the corner with a bright red table cloth.
Provide a variety of books in the book corner in different languages that the children speak.
Puzzles displaying aboriginal art.
That is all.
