Case Study
Bernice is on the floor paying with Henry who is six months old. Henry giggles each time. Bernice looks at him and shakes her head quickly saying. "Cheeky, cheeky, cheeky!"
"Here is your boo boo", says Bernice as she picks up Henry's blanket and places it next to him.
Bernice smiles as Henry watches her face.

How does Bernice interact with Henry in a caring and respectful manner?

You can also include:

- she repeats the actions that makes Henry laugh
- she engages Henry by using his toy
- she is at Henry's level by playing on the floor with him

You're right no she didn't. Calling a child "cheeky" is not gender stereotyping because this can refer to both boys and girls...
