CHCIC301A Key safety issues when arranging a pre school classroom
Posted: Fri May 04, 2012 11:14 am
Hey guys, Im stumped, Im doing a scenario and the last part has got me baffled.
the scenario is
Joanne would like to assist the pre-school children with improving their problem solving skills. The children have expressed an interest in changing the layout of the room’s equipment. Rebecca suggests the children may like to design a new layout for the area themselves. The children are provided with the necessary resources in order to begin.
As it is important that the children discuss their ideas, how would you support this conversation?
What support and resources can Joanne provide to help the design decisions?
he area will need to be safe, how will this be communicated to the children?
What key safety issues will the children need to understand?
Im happy with my answers for all the questions except this las one. My answer for this last one is:
- No clutter
- Cords on curtains or blinds should be kept out of reach of children
- Furniture should not be in reach of curtains/blinds
- Eliminate blind spots (children need to be seen)
- Be aware of traffic patterns
- Create a common meeting ares
- There needs to be clear boundaries for the different stations of the room
- Eliminate tripping hazards
I know Im missing stuff but Im not sure what, Ive looked at this question so much that its not making sense anymore, if anyone could help, id greatly appreciate it
thanks
