CHCECE013 Alternative final assessment
Use information about children to inform practice.
Part B
Reflect on your own practice as an early years learning educator.
• Identify three different methods you use to gather information about children at your workplace. Explain how each method is used to inform work practice.
The way I would gather information is by observing the child, communication and by asking questions so the child knows thhat im here for them.
• How do you record observations and information about the children’s development, skills, knowledge, abilities, social interactions and reactions to their environment?
The way I would record observation is By writing down informations about childrens, or documenting or even dot points about what they are doing
• How do you analyse information collected about children at the centre?
When observing a child you need to be watching and listening attentiviley to a child so learn more about then while they are eggaged in an activity. When observing childrens you can uses different techniques, such as running records, photos and checklists, observation methods should be used in order to interpret assess and evaluate the information that has be gathered and you can also gaininsight into childrens thinking, undertanding and skills.
• How do you use the information collected to plan appropriate activities to foster children’s development, skills, knowledge, interests and abilities?
the way you can uses the information to plan an appropriate activities covering childrens development, skills, knowledge, interests and abilities is by using their interest in a game like playing hide and seek they are using their abilities to hide and climb thinks so they cant be found. They would be developing their physical skills and learning what skills they need also using their knowledge on what they have watched from other childrens.
• Discuss your work performance with your educational leader or supervisor. Ask them to provide feedback about your ability to collect, record and analyse information, and use information to plan appropriate activities for the children. Provide the feedback to your trainer, and explain how you can incorporate their feedback into future work practices.
