CHCECE007 - Scenario: Growing Seeds

You are growing 3 groups of seeds in dirt, cotton wool and water as an experiment to see which grows best. Some of the seeds are in sunlight and some are in total darkness. You have explained the experiment to your prep class and told them what will happen. If the rule of the experiment is not followed, however there are two inquisitive boys who insist on taking out of the darkness to check them. One of the water monitor keeps forgetting to water the seeds in the sun and the cotton wool seeds which are supposed to be kept dump are floating.
a) Discuss how you would allow these children to make choices and to experience natural consequences of their choices.
b) In this scenario was there any risk of physical or emotional harm to any child or another being.
c) If there was a risk of harm how would you response to this scenario has been different.
