CHCECE002 - Cleaning Procedures question
Posted: Mon Aug 29, 2016 6:07 pm
Hi,
I am working on a question that requires me to list at least 5 spills or stains that may occur in the workplace and the procedure for cleaning each.
I have come up with
A child spills water at the lunch table
A child has a toileting accident before reaching the toilet
A child hurts themselves and is bleeding
A child vomits on the carpet in the room
Craft paint on a table
I understand there will be different cleaning procedures as some situations will need more steps than others, (for eg: situations with bodily fluids would require gloves, and sanitizing/disinfecting, where a water spill would not, but I am not sure if blood and vomit may be the same as they are both bodily fluids. I am also wondering if I can use common sense or if different centres may have different policies and procedures with regards to this topic. I have not yet worked or had placement in a centre.
