Explain why Educators should avoid saying to children ‘We are all the same’?
Provide one example of how Educators can use routine experiences as opportunities to talk about differences and similarities?

Yes, if parents have to provide meals for their child then this will work. You can discuss the different foods the children have, what the children eat at home with their families... If meals are provided, instead of having just offering a spoon or fork, you could also offer chopsticks, encourage children to eat with their hands if they would like (as this is typical for some cultures to eat with their hands)...
Hope this helps,

I don;t think it's to make children feel special it's for children to understand that we are the same, yet different in many ways. From different families, to different cultures, to the way we dress, to the foods we eat. Each child is individual and unique with their own likes and interests... Children need to show acceptance and understanding of differences in order to live in today's society...
