Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCECE004 Promote and provide healthy food and drinks
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Beginner

Your Question?
You are required to prepare a poster to promote the importance of healthy eating to parents. The information should reflect dietary needs of young children whilst demonstrating how poor dietary practices and choices can negatively impact children’s development and behaviour. How can diet affect children’s learning? As part of your poster/article use a food label to help educate parents to some of the ingredients in some of our more commonly consumed foods. Assist parents to understand what some of the preservative numbers mean and how they can impact their child. You could also provide them with some healthy alternatives!

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?

The following information may help:

The Role Of Nutrition In Children's Learning and Behaviour

Influences on the Development of Children's Eating Behaviours

You could use some of the information from these links above and add it into your poster. Maybe you add some images as well along with he informtion you provide. You can search Flickr for images...

Here is also some information on Food Additives:

http://www.understandingfoodadditives.o ... h2p5-1.htm

With the food label maybe you can use it from juice or from cereal as this is what children typically have in their own and it's fairly common...

Hope this gives you something to start with,
