I can't find the answer a couple of questions on my assessment.
Please help...
Question
6 months old baby, Hanna is starting in care today as her parent is returning to work.
1. What resources have you sourced in expectation of Hanna's care?
2What regulations govern the care of a baby this stage?

Hi Nat
Firstly i would be looking at getting as much information from the parent/s as possible, her normal rountine at home. Ask what her likes and dislikes are and get as much info about the child's interests and needs as you possibly can from the parent/parents. Does the child have comforters, dummys, a special way to be held, how does she like to be bottle fed, how many bottles does she have, what are the measurements of the bottles (if not already prepared),does she eat any solids yet(what and how much), how does she like to sleep, how does she do these things at home, how does she like to be burped. Provide a first day information sheet with happy photos to the parent telling them a little about Hannas day. Let the parent know that they can ring any time to see how Hanna is doing. Let the parent/s stay for a while to get child settled.Try to get some background on the family and their culture at home and what the parents do for work. In general gather as much background knowledge as possible to help you provide Hanna with the best possible care and transition to your service. Hope this has helped some
