Hey guys, Im stuck on the some question of this assignment, Im just not sure how to answer.
The Questions are:
1.What would you do if you felt a child was given insufficient nutritious food?
2.What risk does an obstructed fire exit pose and what can you do to minimise this risk?
3.Why is it important to regularly eat with the children?

Any help would be really appreciated
thanks :)

question one

I would draw the attention to the group leader or director of the child care center, and when it came time for morning tea, lunch time or afternoon tea, I would keep my eye out and watch what they have to eat. or something like that

Hi there

For question 1 - do they mean insufficient nutritional food at home or at the centre. If at home, you could ensure that during the day their snack and lunch contains extra servings of the nutritional food. You could also include handouts home about nutritional food ideas and include web links in your centre newsletters,
For Question 2. You would inform your supervisor about the risk posed by the obstructed fire exit (eg: an obstruction to evacuating the centre should a fire eventuated) and advise of a way of removing this obstruction, and if not an OH &S issue, move it.
For question 4, eating with the children, means you can model good manners, socialise with the children, model that you are eating healthy and nutritious meals, drinking water, not rushing etc - all the things you would like the children to do.
Hope this helps
