Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCCN302A PROVIDE CARE FOR CHILDREN
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Beginner

Your Question?
Sorry if this has been posted before guys, only just new to this had a quick glance through and couldnt see anything

My Question is Stacey, 4 yrs is upset about a toileting accident. How will you console her, what might you say?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I would ask her if she was feeling upset about the accident and reassure her that it is ok, sometimes we have accidents it just means we need to listen to our bodys a bit more?

(Thats how i explain it to my 3 yr old not sure if its childcare appropriate though?)

Yeah, I would say the same too. You could even add that we all have accidents sometimes and that you will help her to get her changed and next time you could help remind her to go to the toilet.

She's most likely upset about this happening, so def ensure her that it's ok it happens to us all sometimes, remind her to that when she feels the need to go to the toilet it's ok to leave what shes doing and just go. Also if it was to happen where other kids are around make sure to ensure her privacy as this might make her more upset due to peers knowing.
