Hi everyone,

I'm new here and just after some help/ clarification/ direction in regards to one of the questions asked in the mentioned unit.

The question is List seven ways that policies and procedures relate to your work and role and meeting organisational requirements.
Policies provide a framework and clear directions for procedures and care practices that are consistent with current legislative requirements and professional knowledge about the best practice in early childhood.

I'm really struggling to understand this question and what a possible answer could be? Any examples or ideas?

*my current thoughts are that this could be a possible answer*
1. Daily cleaning and checklists - as it states in the centre policy that these cleaning tasks need to completed in the middle of the day.

Not sure if I am completely off base or what...

Thank you in advance for any help and advice you may have :)

A policy is a course of action or guidelines to be followed whereas a procedure is the ‘nitty gritty’ of the policy, outlining what has to be done to implement the policy.

How they relate could include:

- what is expected of service users
- the rights of the workers at the centre
- the responsibilities of the same workers
