• What would be an advantage of your supervisor raising and discussing the policies at a staff meeting?

Child care workers can get more knowledge about centre policy and procedures. Sometimes child care workers have problems related to the childcare policies and procedures when they are planning to the day-to-day work. This type of discussion can get the ideas to overcome the problems. Child care employee can identify further training needs, related to organisational policy, values and attitudes or anti-discrimination legislation and practice.

Yes, you're on the right track with your response!

All educators should be aware of the centres policies and procedures in order to carry out their tasks and responsibilities within the necessary regulations/law etc.

Also if there are policies that could be altered, changed or given feedback upon by the staff discussing these at the staff meeting will enable educators to speak up...
