Scenario:You have overheard the staff members discussing the candidate that are being interviewed for a position at centre.There were several candidates sighted by staff.The discussion you overhear is about one of the candidates who comes from Africa and wears a head scarf.Josie says that she hopes that this candidate does not get the job,I don't want someone here who can't speak English properly and the parents won't like the clothes.Anyway how will she wear the uniform?Jessica respond stating i am sure we can work around the uniform problem may be she could have a head scarf in the centre's colours.I can see that children may pick up the way she speaks bt she may be great with the children.
Question:What do you feel Josie sees as a'Normal Australian'-Is this reality?Explain?
(this refer to the Perception what people sometime think that a normal australian is by what they look like,how they talk,their skin colour)
What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I feel Josie sees as a normal australian.Josie thinks like australian ladies do not wear head scarf they wear different clothes.Their skin color is white.Australian people speak fluent English.The lady come from Africa is different from Josie .Because Josie thinks that she can't speak proper english so she can't make the children understand what she want to say to them.Her clothes are different from her may be parents do not like her clothes and they do not accept her as a teacher of their children.
