Salt Writing Names Home Grown Preschool

Salt can be used to encourage children to write their names, also a great sensory experience.

Materials Needed:

  • Salt
  • Tray

What to do:

  • Pour salt to cover the tray.
  • The child uses their finger to write their name in the salt.

Hints and Tips:

  • Add child's name card for them to copy
  • Use crystal salt for different texture
  • A paintbrush can be used to write with also helps the child with their pencil grasp
