Nature Name Writing

For children who are beginning to learn to write their names, this experience is a great way for children to practice writing their name with natural materials.

Materials Needed:

  • Paper or card
  • Glue
  • Nature items such as:
  • Leaves
  • Sticks
  • Twigs
  • Flowers
  • Berries
  • Grass
  • Pebbles

What To Do:

  • Ask each child to collect all sorts of different nature items.
  • On a piece of paper, write the name of the child in pencil or have the child write their name by themselves.
  • Use glue, ask the child to trace over each letter and stick all the beautiful natural items on each letter to spell their name.

Hints and Tips:

  • These can be laminated.
