Fair Work Announces 4.75% Increase In Children's Services Award and Educational Services Teachers Award

The Fair Work Commission has announced a 4.75% wage increase. This applies to all minimum and award wages, including the Children’s Services Award and the Educational Services Teachers Award.

For children’s services, this rise was already anticipated as part of the sector’s five-year staged plan, while for ECTs it represents a direct adjustment to align with inflationary pressures.

For example: 
  • A Cert 3 qualified educator who currently receives $29.52 per hour; as of 01 July, it increases to around $30.92 per hour.
  • A Room Leader who currently receives $34.78 per hour; as of 01 July, it increases to around $36.43 per hour.
