Hello, does anyone know if it matters about the prestige of the university if you just want to work in a public school?

I don't think the prestige of the university affects your job prospects - it is more about the grades you get and the extra effort you put in - I believe like childcare - there are core units and requirements that must be completed for teaching degrees. The courses would be standardised across the nation now - so I would go to a university that suits your needs, ie if you are better at learning on the job - find the one that is more hands on and does a lot more practical work, if you hate travelling or don't have transport go to the one closest to you.
