Finding Incursions

Post by Kathleen1 » Sun Oct 30, 2016 2:11 pm

I am currently researching how educators find their incursion programs....

1) do you google - if you do what is the most common search term you would use (eg. workshops)
2) how much time do you estimate you would spend searching for these activities (eg. 20mins)

thanks for your feedback

As in incursion programs for the children at the centre?

For me, I usually do it based on the interests of the children at the time - so if we are doing an interest on reptiles or animals I would google any incursion programs available for the children. We also have yearly incursion such as Fireman, Police, Ambulance they come to our centre yearly to talk to the children etc. We have been lucky enough to have a wide variety of professions of our parents so they also come and give a talk to the children (dentist, nurse, doctor, vet) etc.

Hope this helps!

In regards searching I would probably say 15 minutes using Google... Or if another centre has had an incursion they will send the details to us to share...
