The PlayDough Project and Vanuatu

Post by Mandles » Sun Jun 22, 2014 6:30 pm

Hi all ,

My colleague and I are passionate about play based learning and are firm believers that every child has a right to an education. We started The PlayDough Project, raising dough ($) for play in support of play-based learning and in particular remote areas where resources may be limited. We are going over to Vanuatu in October and have been raising money (we've reached $800, inc offline donations, of our $3000 goal) to buy much needed educational supplies and help with building maintenance. We will be buying everything over there to support the local economy.

Has anyone ever been to one of the remote island villages over there? We will be volunteering at several village kindergartens and would love to hear any about experiences others have had over there or in other remote kindergartens.

If interested, you can visit our Facebook Page (The PlayDough Project) for more information about fundraising events we are holding, news updates and our GoFundMe page to make donations. A link to our GoFundMe page can be found on our Facebook page.

Looking forward to hearing about other's experiences.
