Hi,
I know I am repeating myself, WOW.. THANKS SO MUCH, they are wonderful.
The "Thanks for the memories" wording actually bought a tear to my eye.......getting all soft in my old age.
Once again I can't wait to get stuck into filling them out and adding to an amazing portfolio.
Merry Christmas, and A Happy New Year to you all

Hi L.A,

Would there be any chance that you could make the end of year templates to be able to say "I+ my" instead of "our+ we" for family day care Educators?
I appreciate all the work you put into them.
Thanks
Linsaa

Thanks

Hi Linsaa,

I understand what you're saying. As a family day carer there is usually only one educator with the group of children so there is no need for "we" so that's why you would prefer "I".

We are going away this weekend and hubby is caught up with other projects at the moment, but we will try to have it available to you by Wednesday.

Hope this is alright,

:geek:,

Re: Online Tools Version 0.2.1 Released with Minor Changes!

Hi Everyone,

We have done a few minor updates to the portfolio templates under Online Tools. Here is the list of changes done in this minor (0.2.1) release:

1) Have created a separate template for Parent Letter that uses "I + my" instead of "our + we". So this can be used by Educators (including Family Daycarers) who are looking after children by themselves without other staff members. Now you've got 2 versions of this template available to choose from.

2) Have fixed the space in the word "shared through out" and changed it to "shared throughout" in Parent Letter template.

3) Have fixed the typos in the EYLF Achievement Report Sample under Message from the Educator section.

Thanks to our users for their input. This release has been marked as 0.2.1 since its a minor update.

Remember to download the latest version of these templates from here: http://www.aussiechildcarenetwork.com/o ... plates.php

Cheers :geek:,

Re: Online Tools 0.2.3 - "Thanks for the Memories" Portfolio Template Revised!!

Hi Everyone,

We have revised the design for "Thanks for the Memories" Portfolio Template. It was brought to our attention that the inserted photos were distorted or looked very stretched in our old design. So the following changes are done to this "Thanks for the Memories" template:

1) Have revised the template design.
2) We have now placed the "Insert Photo" box at the top followed by the poem at the bottom.
3) Have reduced the size of the Photo box so the inserted image doesn't look too stretched.
4) Have updated the javascripts in the image field so the landscape images inserted in these templates are handled better with less distortion.

We have tested the new design from our end and it works well for landscape photos. Please do note that if you do insert a portrait photo, it will still look stretched. But since its a class or group photo, it is best to insert a landscape photo in this template and it will be placed nicely inside the photo field of this template without looking stretched or distorted.

As a result of this update, the following templates are now changed:

1) Online Tools Fillable version of "Thanks for the Memories" template.
2) Print Only version of "Thanks for the Memories" template.
3) Trial Version of "Thanks for the Memories" template.
4) Completed sample of "Thanks for the Memories" template.

Remember to discard the old template and download the latest version from here: --> Download Portfolio Templates <--

Hope you like this change.

This update is marked as version 0.2.3.

Cheers :geek:,
Lorina.

To both Linsaa and Nat,

Thanks so much for the positive feedback! I'm so happy to hear that the portfolios were such a big hit for both you and your parents. I really enjoyed designing and making these templates! They are my faves so far! I think it's important to present parents with something special that enables them to see what their child was involved in throughout the year and the learning journey their child was involved in. Portfolios enable us to do this and it gives me great pleasure knowing that these templates have been a success!

Awesome!

I wish you both an enjoyable break over these holidays!

Thank you both for your wonderful support this year!

P.S I’m sorry for my late response my daughter has been very sick with a viral infection and high fever this past week...

Hi Yasmine_1, first of all thank you for your donation. :D

Since you are in our donator group, you should be able to download our portfolio templates. If you can't, then can you tell me the following:

1) What happens when you try to download?
2) what error message do you see?
3) what browser are you using? (Internet explorer, safari, etc..)
4) is it windows, mac or tablets?

Cheers :geek:,

Hi Yasmine_1,

When you go to the Online Tools portfolio page, under each template's thumbnail image you will find 2 buttons: (1) Sample (2) Download. If you want to download that template, you need to click on the "Download" button underneath which will open a pop up box asking if you want the print only version or fillable version. If you click on the download button, that will not open the sample copy. Do you still have the problem when you click on the download link?

Here is a video demo on how portfolio templates are downloaded and edited:

Hi Lorina,

I just want to drop-in and thank you for creating and releasing the wonderful new portfolio templates. The timing was perfect and it helped us a lot. At my centre, all of us use your templates and ever since we started using them, things have been a thousand times better. All our staffs have embraced it really well and everyone loves it. Honestly, it did cut down a lot of time we spend on these paperwork. Having a predesigned templates helps us since we know what needs to be completed and whats needed instead of sitting with a blank paper and trying to complete the portfolio. The parents too love these.

Thank you so much Lorina. :)
