Hi all
I would dearly love to do this course.
I am uncertain with whom I could do the course with,
I am a very new Room Leader and work full-time. So am thinking of a online course.
Fees scare me a little as well.
Many thanks,
Sally

Hi Sally,

As a room leader I think it will be more beneficial to do a Diploma. Wouldn't it give you more options doing a Diploma since it's a higher qualification? I had a quick look at the units within the course and they are pretty similar to those of a Diploma.

Just a thought I wanted to share,

Hi Lorina,
Please accept my apologies, in my haste to make sure that confidentiality remains, I forgot to mention that I do have my Diploma.
Thank you very much for your kind thoughts and helpful advice, hopefully others will take note on,this topic.
I actually have in my room this year a few children displaying signs of Autism.
I really enjoy working with these children and am seeking to change my career so that I can further this passion.
I think that this certificate would be worthwhile for me.
If any one out there has any suggestions or ideas they would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks .
Sally

Hi Angel Mist,

So, from what you mentioned the Cert 4 in Education Support focuses primarily on children with additional needs. Even though the units are similar to those of the Diploma it provides extra units that helps educators to understand children with specific additional needs. I think it's a great addition to add onto your Diploma qualification, especially if you are looking to focus on this. For those units that are similar to the Diploma you may be able to get RPL and just complete the ones needed. You can do this Online or through TAFE.
