CHCECE007 - Scenarios: Demonstrate Positive Communication & Effective Interactions

Post by smallsmall99 » Wed Jun 21, 2017 10:41 pm

HI,

PLease help.

In a short paragraph, explain in detail how you would respond to these situations in a way that demonstrates positive communication, respect and effective interactions with children.

1. Zoe (4 years) and Alec (3 years) are playing tag together in the playground. Zoe accidentally pushes Alec over, and he falls to the ground. He tells the educator he is okay, and Zoe tells the educator it was just an accident.

2. Zac (5 years) and Rex (4 years) are playing under the oak tree in the garden. They are making mud pies in the dirt. Chantelle (3 years) approaches them and starts to stand in their pies. The boys get cross with Chantelle and turn to the educator for assistance.

3. Jill (1 year) appears visibly upset. She is sitting on the play mat, surrounded by blocks. Her face is blotchy and red, and tears well in her eyes. The educator isn’t sure what upset Jill.

Thank you!!

So, for each scenario, think about how you would talk to the children in a positive way...

For example:

1) "You alright Alec, Zoe got a bit too eager there. Shake it off. Zoe, you want to check if Alec is alright"

Hope this helps!
