CHCCFC505A Foster cognitive development in early childhood

I'm not sure how to go about doing this assignment.

Task

1. Select and research an aspect of brain development that is of interest to you and will inform your work with young children. You should:

a) Clearly define your area of interest (keep it narrowed and focused)

b) Outline current research related to this area

c) Explain how this research can be applied by early childhood practitioners in their work with young children.

Answer.

I was thinking of doing autism or epilepsy.

Can someone tell me if I am on the right track?

I think for this question they are asking about an area of brain development that you find interesting. During a early childhood a childs brain develops in stages and different parts of the brain develop at different times. I think this is what the question is referring too. The stages are:

Visual and auditory development
Language development
Physical and motor development
Emotional and social development
