That's a very interested question. I worked in childcare for 9 years before I had my little one and I have to say that I used all I Iearnt (even now) while working in the industry and more! It has helped me so much! I don't stress out for the little things and I'm much more calm since I've been through it at work. Toilet training was a breeze as my little one was completely toilet trained by 18 months old because I guess I toilet trained the children in my care. I think the reason behind my parenting style is because of what I practiced, developed and experienced while working with the children... I guess we all take some sort of course but it doesn't necessarily mean an actual parenting course per se... Reading parenting articles and parenting books, asking friends and family, going to practical classes, these are all types of training that parents may take and it gives a sense of confidence when parenting your child.

Just wanted to share my thoughts,

Agree it should not be necessary, but if I ask you, as a parent, what are the specific areas parents should learn in child care?
