No, you don't have to sit and do each rooms programs if that's what your asking. The room leader and co. are responsible for implementing and completing their program.

I just had a look at the Regulation and to me I think that you must lead your team in implementing the Framework at your service. So, this could be introducing new ideas on ways to improve documentation at the centre, making sure that the program and documentation complies with the NQS, supporting other team members in programming etc.

You also need to guide and support other educators within the centre to implement the program and assist them to reflect on their practices, challenge their thinking on current practices etc.

Basically you support the educators at your centre with programming and documentation...

Hope this helps!

I was thinking I will probably write an article about educational leaders and what you should be doing, your role etc.

I'm sure a lot of educators who are appointed the educational leader are unsure of what to do so maybe an article may be beneficial...

Just wanted to let you know that I have just released a checklist for Educational Leaders which they can use within the service to lead and assist educators to document children's learning. It also enable the Educational Leader to check on how educators are reflecting on and implementing the framework to inform curriculum decision making.

You can view the template here: Educational Leader Checklist

Hope this helps!
