Post by sherry.mcc » Sun Oct 16, 2011 4:14 pm

Hi,
For over a week now I have been trying to find an answer to this question. I have read so much material but still cannot find the answer.
SS014 Theory:Bandura's social learning theory

Question:
Explain what Bandura means when he says that having a sense of pride, accomplishment or satisfaction is an essential for self-regulation.
Please help!!!!!

Also give an example of how Bandura's social Leaning Theory can be implemented in an early cildhood setting.

Thank you

The theory can be easily implemented.
You model the behaviour u want the children to follow.
You praise children doing the right thing and others will soon follow suit etc

have to go to work now but will try to answer the rest of your question tonight if no one else has

Another source sent me this.
Bandura believes that learning occurs only when the individual is intrinsically motivated to do so.
Feelings or pride, accomplishment and satisfaction reinforces motivation to learn which in turn leads to self-regulation.
