FDC Educators Getting Income Protection

Post by KAP14 » Wed Jan 13, 2016 7:24 pm

Hi. I was wondering if any other FDC educators have had trouble getting personal income protection or if you have it how???

I have just been told by my financial advisor that because I operate a FDC business no one will cover me for income protection because of the physical demands of the job (similar to that of a mine worker or nurse) and the 'high risks'. However, if I was still teaching in a classroom I could get it tomorrow.

Can anyone offer any advice? My business is my only source of income and if something happens and I am unable to work I would be stuck.

Thanks,
KAP14

I just googled " Family Day Care Income Protection" and Family Day Care Australia mentions that they are able to refer you to a service where you can get covered for Income Protection... It's probably bet to have a chat with them about it...

FDCA - Contact
