4 days 10 hour shift-full time role

Post by aleks » Fri Sep 25, 2015 8:21 am

Hello

Considering going back to work full time.

What are typically the hours if you work a 10 hour shift full time for 4 days?

Also is it typically a Mon-Thur consecutive days or would it be split during the week?

Also do Cert III's need to do any paperwork (daily diaries etc..)

Thanks

At previous centres, the 10 hour shifts were 7:30 - 5:30 or 8 to 6. One year I had Friday off and the second year I had Thursday off so it really depends on the centre needs. Since I was room leader Thurs and Fri were the less busiest days for me so I didn't have to be "there", so that's probably why I was given those days off. Whether or not cert 3 do documentation etc. it really depends once again on the centre. All my centres I have worked in yes cert 3 need to support the room leader in all documentation e.g. obs, learning stories, daily dairy, portfolio however there was a member on this forum who commented that the cert 3 at her centre were not allowed to do any form of documentation...

I actually loved working 10 hour shifts just because you can have that RDO during the week...

Hope this helps,
