Right Level For Cert 3 Educator

Hey,
I have my cert 3 and have been working in long day care for two years.
I'm currently being paid as band 2a and was wondering if this is correct.
I read the article about Childcare wage levels but wasn't sure if it was the same. I live in Victoria.
Thank you.

You should not be paid as a Level 2 - You should be on Level 3 since you have completed your cert 3 qualification. Depending of when you completed your cert 3 then we can determine if you are on Level 3.1 or above... So, when did you complete your cert 3 - so I can tell you your minimum wage...

You will be on the highest rate of pay for a cert 3 assistant educator which is Level 3.2 @ $21.48 per hour/full time.

Hope this helps,

So are levels and bands the same thing?

I'm not too sure what "bands" you are referring to? In your pay slip you can see what level you are on... Maybe instead of levels they are using bands...
