Why do you think symbols and patterns are relevant to children’s early childhood education?

My answer is: Symbols are important because symbols are used everywhere we go, such as when are going to the toilet, where is the lift or escalator, stop sign, traffic light etc. Patterns help children understand sequencing and scheduling for everything around them is like a sequence / schedule – from time of wake to sleep.

Is my answer correct?
