Turning Negative Statements Into Positive Statements

Post by maryamnaderi2011 » Wed Jul 29, 2015 1:13 am

could you plz guide me!i do workbook4 attempt 3 and i dont have enough time, thank you
Q:For each of the statements below identify:
• What sort of influence the statement would have on children’s developing self-esteem i.e. positive or negative; and
• How you could re-word the negative statements to promote self-esteem and self-confidence?

Statement Positive or Negative? Changed responses for negative statements
· 1 Don’t do it that way – it’s wrong!

· 2 That’s ok, but it would be better done this way.

· 3 Why do you always get so dirty?

· 4 What is it? I don’t know what you have drawn

my response:
1. Negative Let me show you a better way
2. Negative That’s nice. How would you like to do it in a better way.
3. Negative I would like to do it together next time, maybe we can help each other to find a way avoiding get dirty.
4. Negative WOW. What a nice drawing. Could you explain the story of that?

they feedback:Good effort, however you need to think of how you could re-word the negative statements to promote self-esteem and self-confidence? Revise and resubmit the following

You're right...all the responses are negative...

For example:
That’s ok, but it would be better done this way.

I can see you're trying really hard. What other ideas can we come up with to see if it works...

:geek:,
