Hi Lorina,

Scenario-"Jake regularly wets his pants during the day. In the past you have seen Jake reprimanded and reduced to tears by his father for wetting his pants. Jake wet his pants twice today and is being picked up by his father."

Q-How would you respond in the above situation? provide a short explanation of why you responded the way you did?

When answering this question we need to be patient and understanding-reassure Jake. maintain his privacy and dignity. help him to change his wet clothes and help him to re-join activity.

And also need to write to how to deal with his dad this situation. I can explain his dad to accident happen any time any children and we can understand their development age. They are learning they can't understand their warning sing yet.

Lorina , I am not sure am I on right track can you help me to figure out this answer

Thanks
Ruvi

In regards to Jake's dad, you have to tell him and you could also ring and inform mum of what happened as well. You could also provide strategies on how to remind Jake to frequently go to the toilet as when he gets caught up in playing he may tend to forget. This is completely normal for his development. You could also let Jakes dad know that although he wet himself twice he was able to successfully go to the toilet all other times throughout the day...
