Hi Lorina, Can you please check if my answers are correct as below:

a) Describe an activity that would allow children to explore each of the following Time activity with children in your centre: My answer is Activity 3- Time: Play a clock song and give kids the practice they need telling time with these fun puzzles or printables.

b)There are certain organisational standards, policies and procedures that are relevant to the gathering of information about a child to inform practice.Name the relevant standard, frameworks, convention and code that applies. (There are five in total).
National Quality Standards:
Quality Areas 1 Educational program and practice
1.1.5 Every child is supported to participated in the program.
Element 1.1.2 states that ‘Each child’s current knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities and interests are the foundation of the program.
Element 1.2.1 states that ‘Each child’s learning and development is assessed as part of an ongoing cycle of planning, documenting and evaluation.

QA6 Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
Standard 6.1 Respectful and supportive relationships with families are developed and maintained

Element 7.3.1 Records and information are stored appropriately to ensure confidentiality, are available from the service and are maintained in accordance with legislative requirements.

UN Convention on the Rights of the Child states in article 16 that all children have the right to privacy. The law should protect them from attacks against their way of life, their good name, their families and their homes.
Article 3 All adults should do what is best for you. When adults make decisions, they should think about how their decisions will affect children.

Article 29 Your education should help you use and develop your talents and abilities. It should also help you learn to live peacefully, protect the environment and respect other people.
Article 12 You have the right to give your opinion, and for adults to listen and take it seriously.
Article 13 You have the right to find out things and share what you think with others, by talking, drawing, writing or in any other way unless it harms or offends other people.


Code Of Ethics: In relation to children, I will:
5. Use information appropriately, respecting the privacy of children and young people, maintaining confidentiality where necessary, respecting the right of children and young people to be informed of matters concerning themselves, and avoiding the misuse of personal information

Article 2
1. States Parties shall respect and ensure the rights set forth in the present Convention to each child within their jurisdiction without discrimination of any kind, irrespective of the child's or his or her parent's or legal guardian's race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national, ethnic or social origin, property, disability, birth or other status.

Code of Ethics: In relation to children: 5. Create and maintain safe and healthy environments which foster children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development which respect their contributions to communities and their dignity.
