Yes, I think you're on the right track... I think you just need to identify which play stage it is and then explain it...

Parten' Stages Of Play

Hope this helps,

Hi all!
Just in relation to Parten's stages of play, are there any recent articles/readings in relation to the theory?

I've been googling, however have only come across the Wikipedia page... I'm not big on referencing my Uni work from Wikipedia... Just wondering if there's anything else out there that you might know of?
Or perhaps other similar theorists that explore stages of development/play development?
Anything will be helpful... just need to link some of my observations of children's play to theorists.

Thanks,

Amy
