Influencing Your Values, Beliefs, Attitudes & Cultural Identity

my 1st question is
Write down at least three significant events in your family background or history that have influenced your values, beliefs and attitudes.

this is my answer
Manners -- are they old fashioned? Do they hold a high or low value in your life?
Pride—are there things you need to be proud of
Family life. What do you value about family life?

My 2nd question is
Record and explain how at least three aspects of your environment have influenced your cultural identity.

This is my answer
Aspects of environment, coming from a dysfunctional family, moved around throughout my childhood so did not have a sense of who I was or a sense of belonging. My husband has been the biggest influence in my life teaching me trust and life skills. An alcoholic father who also abused his wife and also abused his 4 daughters, however my mother tried to instil into me and my sisters that we always use our manners, be polite when talking to other people and to respect your elders. I don’t remember a lot about my identity before or after the age of 15 as I looked after both parents until they both passed from cancer. My mum was 42 and my dad was 55

Am I on the right track with this one or am I going in the wrong direction
Can someone let me know
Thank you in advance

I think the answer you added for Q2 is probably more suitable for Q1... When referring to manners, pride and family life what 3 events in your life has made you believe and value these 3 choices...

For your second question:

So for this question you need to discuss your own culture identity and mention any bias attitudes you may have. I have provided explanations below to help get you started...
Cultural identifiers may be the result of various conditions including: location, gender, race, history, nationality, language, sexuality, religious beliefs, ethnicity, aesthetics, and even food.
Bias in Behaviours

Avoidance of certain people
Stereotyping - good or bad
Telling jokes based on stereotypes
Calling people names
Posting negative comments in social media
Insults based on stereotypes
Vandalizing others' religious decorations
Imitating someone with a disability
Calling women names such as chicks or broads
Joining exclusive clubs where certain people are not allowed
Telling someone that women wear dresses and men wear pants
Not serving someone is a restaurant or retail store because of their race
Not hiring someone because of their age or gender
Not accepting a bid on a house because of race or religion
Drawing pictures or cartoons that belittle someone because of their beliefs, gender expression or political affiliation

Hope this helps,

So, basically how do you feel about other cultures based on your environment. Do you live in an area where only a certain cultural group may live so in this case you may not have interacted with alot of people from other different cultures. What cultures are represented at your work, through the families... In my case for example: I never yet have worked with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people...

Hope this helps,

Try not to overthink the question...

Read the question and just write what you think the response is. I'll be happy to look over your response. With this question it's about your views so really think about your life and culture within your environment...

Hi,

Can you please help me with this question.

Reflect on your own values, beliefs and cultural identity and identify any differences.
