CHCPRT003 - Risk Factors To Make A Family Vulnerable

Post by Klara97 » Mon Feb 20, 2017 1:35 am

Hi here is what i require help with for the assessment for the unit CHCPRT003

The following is a list of risk factors that could potentially make a family vulnerable to abuse or neglect:
 Indigenous children/infants
 Children with a disability
 Children with high medical needs
 Children exposed to family violence
 Parents with a drug or alcohol addiction
 Children of parents with a mental illness
 Families that are isolated
For each risk factor you will need to:
a) Describe how you could work collaboratively with that family and support them to address these risks
b) Research a support agency that could provide additional support and assistance
c) Identify the support they offer
d) Outline how your service and/or the family can engage with the agency

any help would be greatly appreciated as I do not understand the task and i don't know how to go about starting it

Thank you
Regards
Klara

Ok, so for this task it's best to research each different type of family to help you find information for each point in your question.

So the first family is: Indigenous children/infants

Google "Risk factors indigenous children/infants" and see what information you could find...
