EDU10002- Understanding Language and Literacy

Post by sarahch » Wed Aug 10, 2016 12:52 pm

Hi,
I'm currently completing the unit- understanding language and literacy and as such am required to submit a 6 minute oral presentation on the topic : How is oral language development supported in the Australian educational context?

I have an introduction to begin with and have gone into defining what literacy and numeracy actually mean, pinpointing that its not just about learning to write and count to 10. I have gone on to explain how important it is as educators that we let children be exposed to language and literacy and let them explore their surrounds.
Just need some pointers in what else i need to include and pinpoint. I know i need to address how we as educators support child's language and numeracy development etc.

Thanks :)
