This Chinese New Year, is the Year of The Monkey, create this simple hand print monkey that represents a smart, clever and intelligent animal.

Materials Needed:

  • White Paper
  • Brown paint
  • Black texta
  • Green paint 

What to do:

Paint child's hand with brown paint.

Gently lay the child's hand on the white paper to create a hand print. Using green paint, create leaves and branches above the monkey and add the monkeys brown tail, around the tree branch. 

Finally, once the paint dries, add the details to the monkey, such as his feet, face and add details to the leaves. Now your monkey is ready! 

Hints and Tips:

  • The monkey can be created on a white piece of paper, cut out and stuck onto a green piece of paper.
  • Create a jungle for your monkeys to swing in. 
  • Add more trees and leaves.
